On the search for new Curlys at Curly Horse Breeders

we visited many ranches. We enjoyed seeing all the people and the curly horses that we had come to know and love. Through our qualitative selection of curly horses and their premium foals we have raised the bar very high. Even though we were looking for curly horses to sell to our clients we found it very difficult to find curly horses that could bar up to our ranch criteria.

We are still in talks with many curly horse breeders.

A day at the races

Ranch Manager Petra Wolfs birthday was just around the corner and us girls knew we had to do something special to show her how much we acknowledge her engagement and hard work. What should we give her? Luckily Christiane had the perfect idea: a day together at the races in Frankfurt. A great idea and for many of us it would be a first time event. We decided that a day at the races would not be perfect without a hat so we all put our money together and bought the perfect hat for the horse races. We gave Petra her gift and quickly decided on a day to go all together, even though not everyone could make it after all.

On August 16th it was time. We all met at 13.30 at the Ranch dressed our finest with big smiles on our faces and armed with money for bets, binoculars, hats and cameras. Petra chauffeured us to Frankfurt in her Land rover. Already on the highway we attracted a lot of attention.

As we arrived at the parking lot we were asked by a valet if we would like him to park our car in the VIP area. As an answer he got laughter from all of us as Petra tried to explain that we were just ordinary girls on tour. He laughed along with us and we carried on. A few steps further another man approached us, once again we thought he wanted to take us the VIP parking area but instead he offered to drive us directly to the racetrack.

At the racetrack there were beautiful Arabic horses to be seen. We could go to the ring and see all the horses as they were paraded around by their trainers. We had to memorize the number of our favorite horse, go to the counter to fill out and pay our bets and then run to the racetrack just in time for the start of the race. It was so exciting even though I quickly realized that I was not the best at placing bets, since I placed bets on those horses with the cutest faces. In between the races I wondered if my favorite Curly horse Kawa could have a chance at winning such a race. But I think he would prefer a picnic at the races rather than competing in them. The other girls were much more successful in the placing of their bets. After a great day of together the day had come to an end.

Back on the Ranch it was time to say goodbye. We all wised in that moment that it was Petra’s birthday everyday so we could take the time to do something like this again in the near future. Before I headed home I went to see Kawa and gave him a piece of bread. As I watched him joyfully enjoy his bread I came to the conclusion that not even the best race horse in the world could replace him or any other Curly horse. The question does remain if we could hold a Curly race day. Petra what do you say?

Another birthday

The prefect reason to party

It is time, Levi has filled his duty and we are now patiently awaiting the pregnancy of Mae. Since she will carry 11 months and 11 days Petra said that it could be very possible that the foal may be born on my birthday. That would be a great day. Maybe the foal will be white with black spots and a Rasta mane. All birthday guests will be godparents. I wonder if we could have a baptism.
