Everything must be clean as a whistle
The preparations for the Curly Horse EU-Meeting and Open House on Ranch Wolf took over all of May. In those weeks ranch manager Petra Wolf could only be seen with a cell phone on her ear, most of the time whilst answering emails.
For the Curly Horse EU-Meeting overnight accommodations, lectures and performances had to be prepared. For the day of the Open House riding lesson participants practiced everyday with Gina, the dance group Engels-Bengels and the groundwork communication group with Petra Wolf. Besides that she prepared the new Curly-Horse collection for Ranch Wolf, the tombola and much more. Tom Wolf was in charge of the organization of the physical well being. Besides his daily work schedule he quickly built a carport and cleaned out the machine hall to make more room for guests.
Plans were created: where is what happening and who is in charge of the different stations. Everywhere was being cleaned up, polished, painted, planted and mowed. There was a great mood and atmosphere amongst all helpers. The Curlys watched the nosily and participated in the preparations when needed.
These beautiful straight and curly haired girls used their girl power to clean the barn including 13 stables, riding area and various preparation rooms to a shine. They were all proud that their “Curly-Horse Home” looked so inviting. Many thanks to all and to all those that are not pictured here.
„This original material with the cow spot design is surly great as table cloths for our Ranch Day” says Tom Wolf. “Who wants to sew 50 pieces?” asked Petra. Our lovely Guddi started right away and sewed away rigorously and thoroughly mastering her task. This pattern was a big hit with Curly Horse Chihiro who is a black and white Tobiano.
The Branderup student Gina
Bent Branderup is the best trainer our time. For many years he was a student of Escuela Andaluza del Arte Equestre in Jerez de la Fontrera. After completing his training in Spain he continued his schooling with other masters of classical riding of which including Salvador Sanchez, Nuno Oliveria and Egon von Neindorff. Today he reports once in a while at the German Riding Association in Warendorf. The FN has created along with Mr. Branderup a seminar summary.
Our Curly stallion Teoc’s Painted Levi will soon take the stallion capacity test. Because of this it was very important for us to get the opinion of the top teacher. How happy was Ranch Manager Petra Wolf when Corinna Schubert called her up, who was a participant of one of Bents courses. She was willing to come teach us a little.
Gina Rathmann, our horse keeper and his student Maria Roob right away started fine-tuning. The course crept closer and the excitement grew. Since we had participated in the theory part of his seminars we knew how high of a niveau the course would be and how large the expectations of Bent Banderup are of horse and rider.
The whole weekend worked out just the way we wanted it to. We learned a lot of theory and got to practice a lot as the youngest active participant of the event – Levi.
Sidesteps, strong trot, gallop switch, pirouettes, piaffe – riding with the best help, lectures on the highest niveau all the way to the best school – that is the goal. For this we will gladly offer our time and patience. The qualitative training for our Curly horses and our personnel is something we at Ranch Wolf put at the top of our list.
With the Dimensions: 40 x 40 Meter
Planning, measuring, moving of earth, special materials, flies, drainage, gravel, sand, bulldozing and a lot of small sections separated off for the fencing. For this the company Winczy broke the record. The riding area was finished on the agreed date. Our Curlys enjoy the change that they now have with their new riding area.
