Horses draw fascination with young and old and besides that no allergies. They reward the smallest amount of attention through their affection if communicated with in a heartfelt way. You have reached the right place at Ranch Wolf to fulfill your childhood dream, to learn horse friendly association and to build a friendship with a four legged animal.
Our horses enjoy and need change whether it being on the sandy riding area, in the famous Picadero or Round Pen, relaxed on the pasture or trotting over the premises.
We would like to give participants of our three day seminar an insight as to how the Curly horses on Ranch Wolf are affectionately cared for and treated.
The topics of the seminar are very extensive and are include the following topics:
- Theory – that which surrounds general knowledge concerning the horse
- Body language of the horse and participants
- Communication and ground work which causes an immediate and authentic reaction
- Ranch work which belongs to the everyday life
- Riding lessons with and without a saddle to gain understanding and feeling
- Rider and perceptional games
- A led horseback ride through the terrain

This experience is something you and your children can share with one another together with the Curly horses on Ranch Wolf. Horses, generally speaking, are the best and authentic teachers who truthfully show their strengths and weaknesses. Curlys enjoy contact and collaboration with humans.
CURLY HORSE EU-MEETING
After much demand the third Curly Horse EU-Meeting will take place at Ranch Wolf on June 6th, 2009.
Ranch Wolf called a Curly Horse EU-Meeting to life in 2007 which left behind a very positive reaction. Many European Curly Horse breeders travelled from close and far to get to know one another. The specialized lectures and discussions contributed to the meaningful definitions of the direction of the Curly horse breed.
One year later Karen Zierler, an Austrian breeder, came to the idea of an international exchange which can be found under www. After many inquiries we have gladly decided to hold the 3rd Curly Horse EU Meeting at Ranch Wolf. Since our capacity is limited we ask for your obligatory registration by the 30th of April, 2009, whether participant or speaker. To be able to create a schedule we ask speakers to send us the topic and the expected duration of the lecture. We will also accept wishes for specific technical equipment. Our overnight accommodation options are restricted at Ranch Wolf so we ask you to call as soon as possible. If we are sold out we can offer to book you overnight accommodations in our area.
We have special pricing terms with ***Hotel Zur Bergstraße in Zwingenberg. With the mention of “Gestuet Wolf” you are offered a double room on the weekend for the price of 37,50 Euro/Person and a single room for the price of 65 Euro/Night. This price is inclusive of the rich breakfast buffet. Reservations can be made under Kube@Hotel-zb.de
We look forward to your participation, to many interesting conversations, to welcome the new, to see the old, to greet new breeders in our circle and to a successful seminar.
this is how the in attendance breeders drew a close to their Curly Horse EU-Meeting in June 2007. Content, with new ideas and expanded knowledge is how the Curly horse breeders said their goodbyes to one another. To share new experiences and to deepen newly made friendships this meeting will take place again in June 2009.
OPEN HOUSE
On the 7th of June 2009 – Open House presented by Ranch Wolf. The exact program for this day will be publicized in Mays News.
For the first time on July 7th, 2009 Ranch Wolf will open its doors to the public. On this day we will share with you countless presentations about everything you need to know about horses. Specialties out of our region, such as a dance show, bull riding and a big raffle will fill the day’s program. Family Wolf is looking forward to your visit.
What do I have to be able to do on Ranch Wolf before I am allowed to ride into the terrain?
- Be able to separate the horse from the herd while getting it from the pasture
- Lead the horse – out of various positions, be able to stop the horse, make it walk backwards and lead it through a parcour
- Clean, saddle and bridle with and without tying up the horse
- Set the stirrup, be able to tighten the brace and get up on the horse (the horse should stand still during this!)
- Be able to work in all three ground steps with and without a saddle on the riding area.
- Ride with the horse through a parcour
- Follow the riding demands from the riding teacher (change riding positions through obeying, stopping, turning, walking backwards, ect.)
- After the riding lesson be able to care for the horse (spray off, lay sweat blanket on horse, solarium, ect.)
- Load
- A calmness test
The test date is suggested by a riding teacher. As soon as all sections have been successfully achieved then you are, in our eyes, ready to ride into the terrain on your own. There you will be able to gather more knowledge in a safe and understanding way. Every point can be repeated twice, at any point in time. If two repeaters are not enough then 10 more riding lessons must pass before the test can be taken again. Good luck practicing and we look forward to a great result.
one must give time, love, patience, feeling and experience as well as an imagination and a certain something. Obstacles during this journey are not problematic rather can be seen as positive challenges. With small steps we puzzle together the mosaic to later be able to reflect on our achie- vements. Just as in this picture, that radiates harmony and unity.
In any case both!
Circus lessons bring us back to the days of our childhood. A world of fantasy, creativity, acrobatics, fun and joy. These games were brought on by our Curly horses and used by us as a way to improve the communication and trust between the horse and us. The typical circus lessons, for example crossing of the legs, playing with the ball, seesaw, Spanish step or the compliment, all have a high in structural weighing. Our Curly horses love the training podest and are always filled with joy when it is built into training modules.
This is the motto for all animals on Ranch Wolf for the year 2009. This is shown by the beaming Petra Wolf and her Curly Horse Chihiro on the podium. The entire team from Ranch Wolf wishes for you to start each day with a smile on your face and to take time to smell the flowers to therefore gain positive energy to turn your wishes into dreams.
